Communicating with the Outlandish....

Per the Egroup...You need to "register" at www.egroups.com and SUBSCRIBE to the OutlandishCentral group if you want to participate in any email discussions. Fact is...I really don't get into the whole email discussion thing and I simply use registration there as a way of getting on my private email list for updates you might really be interested in. I do not sell these email lists to ANYONE!

Our main Message Board is the BEST place to nurture an ongoing discussion about the books.

Go to our Chat Page, [button above] and click on the CHAT NOW button on the page. All you have to do is enter a name and an optional profile to participate. :)
EVERYONE should be able to easily participate without any downloads, etc!

About Chat's! We are looking for a chat moderator to get the chats going again.

Tips: This is a Java room ...so ... clear out your temporary internet files, your cache, occasionally;)

How To: START-> Settings-> Control Panel-> Internet Options->Temporary Files-> Delete

PLEASE let me know if this room is problematic for you! I am keeping my eyes open for the best rooms possible to use.

Exciting News About Our Message Board!

Our Outlandish Central Message Board is located at www.ezboard.com. It is a part of the Forum I developed there called Bookaholics of the Book Clique Cafe. We have links to many of the groups that participate under the umbrella of www.readinggroupsonline.com.

I WOULD LOVE your FEEDBACK about the look and navigation of this site. I am hoping most of the pages load reasonably well. I KNOW that some of the archive pages may be quite long so let me know if you have enormous problems with them. I apologize for the fact that historically this group knows how to TALK and TALK...LOL!

EZBoards are quite simple to use...I have them set up so that anyone can read and post. If you actually register you simply get more posting options like adding signatures that work. ;) You may notice on OUR message board that the latest messages rise to the top. If anyone besides me posts, you will see who replied last.

I'm still not too clear about the E-Group, aside from using the Chat Room... since I'm not much of a listserv person, but you can join it and send out Outlandishly related email to the participants. I'd like to find someone that would like to monitor more indepth email discussions. Its just not my gig ;) Folks that sign up via the egroup will be getting weekly chat reminders, the bulk of our email will come from my aol account, TheOutlandish1@aol.com If you don't want a ton of emails, simply set your preferences at egroup accordingly!

In our Archives, you will find previous author chats with Diana Gabaldon, along with my published newsletters. Eventually I will add more content related to the historical context of our group participants, along with any forthcoming events... etc.
